Interference Mitigation and Power Minimization in 5G Heterogeneous Networks

Macro cells’ (MCs) densification with small cells (SCs) is one of the promising solutions to cope increasing demand for higher data rates in 5G heterogeneous networks (HetNets). Unfortunately, interference that arises between these densely deployed SCs and their elevated power consumption have caused huge problems facing HetNets. In this paper, a new soft frequency reuse (SFR) scheme proposed minimize elevate network throughput. The based on on/off switching according contribution rate (ICR) values. It solves problem by dividing cell region into center edge zones. Moreover, tackles enhances efficiency network. Furthermore, our paper irregular nature HetNets compares two different shapes zone SC: circular, shapes. Additionally, optimum radius zone, which maximizes total system rate, obtained. results show surpasses traffic random schemes, as it decreases outage probability efficiency. demonstrate close performance both circular zone.
